Tony has extensive executive background in property (real estate, project management, development management), marketing (over a decade leading an international marketing services group), in disruptive technologies and start-ups. The youngest ever Laing & Simmons franchisee, the Co-founder of major developer DevelopmentLINK and founder of several successful start-ups.
He realised that there was a massive hole in prop-tech and build-tech, where substantial friction and pain points existed, which hadn’t yet been disrupted. He set out engaging with renovation consumers and builders and trades providers alike researching face to face and, over a 2+ year journey, he acquired the deep understandings and insights needed to define what that disruptive opportunity was and what was needed to bring it to life – which has led to the creation of Trabr.
A native of Indiana, USA, but now a resident of Australia, he is a technical innovator, a leader and the perfect talent to augment our leadership group and to help take us to the next level and beyond. With a rich background of expertise working with a handful of other disruptive digital innovators prior to then, he is a hands-on-operator and an exponent of both front and back end development. Adam is a listener, a collaborator, a coach and a team leader.
He was Head of Engineering with Australian trades search pioneer, Hipages, and enjoyed a 4.5 year stint as lead of a multi-disciplinary team of 25 staff covering front-end, back-end and mobile engineers and, prior to that, worked with The Iconic and Zanui. Adam joined Trabr to spearhead our technology development, bring our MVP to life and successfully launch and grow the extraordinary ecosystem which we’re building.
A shareholder of Trabr Ltd, Ian joined the Trabr Advisory Board as Chair in March 2020. He is currently an advisor and mentor to a number of private businesses in Australia and New Zealand. From 2013 until 2018, Ian served on the Board of Metcash Limited as Group Chief Executive. Metcash is Australia’s leading Wholesaler with annual revenues of $14bn+ and an ASX market cap of ~$2.7bn. Prior to Metcash Ian was Group Chief Executive officer of The Warehouse Group in New Zealand and Managing Director of B&Q Warehouse in the UK, Europe’s largest home improvement retailer. A significant division of Metcash is the Independent Hardware Group (IHG); a $2bn+ revenue, trade-focused and primarily independently-owned membership model. IHG serves a network of 690 hardware stores and their suppliers across Australia. Ian is also a life-long home renovator and property developer completing major residential building projects in the UK, Auckland and Sydney. Ian brings great passion, significant leadership capabilities in addition to sector experience and perspectives to the Trabr business.
A senior Executive with one of Australia’s most respected and largest home renovation building companies, Cape Cod Australia, Jo has oversight of corporate development, human capital management and training, research, technology & integration and work place health and safety. Degree qualified, Jo’s commitment to workplace learning, safety and skills development has seen her create, develop and integration Cape Cod’s unique proprietary digital WHS platform “Safe Worksite”.
An innovation which has enabled their organisation to track workers on sites, real time visibility and awareness of hazards and accidents and reporting, implement mandatory Toolbox talks, manage SWMS, monitor compliance documentation and deliver better planning, process and outcomes for all their building projects. Jo’s commitment to people and construction WHS holds invaluable relevant, practical and digital expertise.
Leading property tech advisor and consultant, David was until recently the GM and Head of Innovation at property tech behemoth, Corelogic. During ten years with Corelogic, David had several roles including Head of Consumer and Head of Product too. Prior he was responsible for establishing the Australian operations of global GPS manufacturer and tech company Navman.
David has over 20 years’ worth of senior leadership experience in digital transformation and was one of the founding executives of Telecom New Zealand “Xtra” which was one of the most successful Telco owned ISPs anywhere in the World. As the Head of Innovation at Corelogic, David spent his time mainly looking at Horizon 2 and 3 strategies with a special focus on Property Technology, Real Estate-tech and Fin-tech and he now brings an extraordinary depth of insight and knowledge to the Trabr Advisory Board.
Following an early career in building materials research and process improvement, David is degree qualified in Chemistry and Economics, a graduate member of Australian Institute of Company Directors and has substantial experience in economics and marketing in Australia and SE Asia working for CSR Building and BBC/Bunnings. He has vast building materials product experience and deep knowledge of product supply channels in Australia and NZ, and 30+ years marketing to residential and commercial builders and contractors, housing and home renovation consumers too.
David has lead business unit operations with revenues exceeding $250M p.a. He has been President of the Thermal Insulation Manufacturers Association and was Chair and Director of the Clay Brick Training institute and the NSW President of the Housing Industry Association and he is currently a National Director, Board-Member and Treasurer of the HIA.
A leader with a passion for building exceptional teams and cultures, Simon was a trusted advisor and a key contributor to the development of SEEK and its world class culture and performance. For 16 years part of the executive team which built and lead SEEK from a start-up to the global leader it is today and an ASX Top 50 company.
He has a proven track record of growing successful businesses strategically and about go-to-market execution capabilities. With deep experience in sales, service and operations of disruptive business models, he was also responsible for growing a substantial business in China into a market leader while navigating cultural differences and managing cross border challenges as well as hands-on experience in the listing a foreign owned Chinese business on the New York Stock Exchange and now brings all of these considerable talents to the Advisory Board of Trabr.
